Judy Leasure
I am an artist and teacher working primarily in colored pencil and pastel. I have enjoyed doing creative things ever since I was a child. I have been painting seriously for about 15 years. I started painting in watercolor and then began doing decorative painting in acrylics. In 2008, I started working with colored pencils and that quickly became my passion. Today I work almost exclusively in colored pencil and pastel. I teach classes in my home and at conferences and conventions. I taught at the 2008 MAD conference in the Poconos. I also teach at the Sawmill Center for the Arts in the Cook's Forest in west central Pennsylvania during the summer. My work is exhibited in local galleries and has appeared in the Annual Miniature show in Chambersburg, PA, and the Seaside Art Gallery Miniature show in Nags Head. One of my specialties is custom pet portraits. I work very hard to capture the personality of my subjects. Please contact me for information about my commissioned work.
